Work from anywhere. With Foroughi and Larson, Choudhury distinguished geographic from temporal flexibility and found a 4.4 percent output gain, without more rework, when patent examiners moved from working from home to working from anywhere. Caveat: One agency; individually measured work.
Geographic flexibility as a research agenda. Reviewed the value of geographic mobility and the frictions against it, and proposed a research agenda on whether and how work-from-anywhere policies might help individuals and firms capture that value and mitigate mobility frictions.
