- Neither market nor hierarchy nor network: the emergence of bazaar governance, Organization Studies 27(10), 1447 to 1466, 2006
In Organizational Structures
Known for
Bazaar governance, with Xavier Lecocq.
Ideas
Bazaar governance. With Lecocq, drew on transaction cost economics to argue that open source projects illustrate a new generic governance structure, bazaar governance, built on the open license, with low control and weak incentives that make its transactions uncertain but openness that can generate strong positive network externalities. Caveat: A conceptual argument. Read in its abstract only.
In this section, “read” means read by the Organizational Structures series: where a line says a work, or part of one, was not read, the series did not read it.
