Representational gaps between teams. With Hollenbeck, Miles, Ilgen, and Barnes, found in 249 multiteam systems that frame-of-reference training raised system performance by improving between-team coordination, a link that within-team coordination strengthened. Caveat: An intervention study of 249 multiteam systems, read in its abstract only, which does not give the setting; it tests a training intervention, not a structure.
In this section, “read” means read by the Organizational Structures series: where a line says a work, or part of one, was not read, the series did not read it.
