In Organizational Structures
Known for
The post-bureaucratic organization and, with Paul Adler, the firm as a collaborative community.
Ideas
Post-bureaucratic organization and collaborative community. A form of community more flexible and wider in scope than the community of loyalty, transcending both traditional Gemeinschaft and modern Gesellschaft, built on a shared ethic of interdependent contribution and a formalized set of norms of interdependent process management. Caveat: Only the 2006 abstract was read; the 1994 book was not read.
In this section, “read” means read by the Organizational Structures series: where a line says a work, or part of one, was not read, the series did not read it.
