The N-form and the heterarchical multinational
Ideas
The N-form corporation. Knowledge management needs a structure that combines knowledge rather than dividing it, unlike the M-form. Caveat: Conceptual.
Heterarchy. The multinational as a heterarchy, endowed with many centers of different kinds; where in a matrix all units are coordinated along all the dimensions of the matrix, in a heterarchy the pattern is more mixed and flexible. Caveat: Conceptual. Only passages of the article were read.
In this section, “read” means read by the Organizational Structures series: where a line says a work, or part of one, was not read, the series did not read it.
