Known for

An American management consultant who said he worked at the Stanford Research Institute on the team, led by Robert Stewart, that produced the SOFT framework, a forerunner of SWOT analysis.

Caveat: The account of his role is his own; SOFT was published by Robert F. Stewart, Otis J. Benepe, and Arnold Mitchell at SRI in 1965, and historians still dispute whether SWOT began at SRI or at Harvard Business School.
