Ideas
New concepts of production (neue Produktionskonzepte). With Schumann, found West German rationalization turning toward new concepts of production that professionalize work in the core industrial sectors while rigidly excluding other parts of the workforce. Caveat: Read in English abstracts only; the 1984 book was not read, and the authors later revisited their forecast (Kern and Schumann 1992).
In this section, “read” means read by the Organizational Structures series: where a line says a work, or part of one, was not read, the series did not read it.
