The actor-oriented architecture, with Øystein Fjeldstad, Charles Snow, and Raymond Miles.

Ideas

Actor-oriented architecture. With Fjeldstad, Snow, and Miles, proposed that new designs rest on self-organizing actors, commons where resources are shared, and protocols and infrastructures for collaboration among many actors. Caveat: A conceptual framework applied to organizations from four sectors; illustrative applications, not a test.

The collaborative community of firms. With Snow, Fjeldstad, and Miles, described Blade.org, which joined a shared knowledge commons with explicit mechanisms for direct collaboration among member firms. Caveat: One illustrative case.
