In Organizational Structures
Known for
The integration-responsiveness framework, with Yves Doz.
Ideas
Integration and responsiveness. With Doz, Prahalad framed global integration of activities and local responsiveness as the two essential demands on the multinational, set out on an integration-responsiveness grid with examples from the companies the authors studied. Caveat: Built on the authors' research on the companies they studied; only passages of the book were read. The framework's later formal critique is Devinney, Midgley, and Venaik (2000).
In this section, “read” means read by the Organizational Structures series: where a line says a work, or part of one, was not read, the series did not read it.
