Modular organization in hospitals. With Vera, found that modularization as a whole did not improve hospital performance, while process orientation and internal market mechanisms had positive efficiency effects. Caveat: A quantitative study of hospitals, read in its abstract only, which does not state the sample; it is probably not independent of Vera and Kuntz (2007).
