Ideas

Multi-contingency fit and misfit. Co-author with Burton of the multi-contingency model and of the misfit test in 224 Danish firms. Caveat: A quantitative study of 224 Danish small and medium-sized firms, in one country, with misfit rules from the authors' own model. Read in its abstract only.

Conditions for a working matrix. With Burton and Håkonsson, three conditions for a matrix to work: purpose, aligned contingencies, and managed junctions. Caveat: Conceptual.

Multi-contingency fit and misfit. With Burton, built a multi-contingency model of design with explicit fit and misfit rules, implemented in the OrgCon diagnosis and design program. Caveat: The rules are synthesized from the literature; the test of misfits in 224 Danish small and medium-sized firms is Burton, Lauridsen, and Obel (2002), not this book.

In this section, “read” means read by the Organizational Structures series: where a line says a work, or part of one, was not read, the series did not read it.
